Illumination in today's signs generally comes comes in the form of LED modules configured to suit the sign solution such as a tray or a "halo" effect behind lettering or logos. More traditional illuminated signs are available including lightboxes using tube lights as main fascia or projecting options.
Methods and products such as Neon have been replaced in more recent times by LED tube alternatives, offering a safer, more cost-effective and less damageable solution. An alternative illumination option is the addition of slim LED trough lights or spotlights, which can be fixed above or below an installed sign.
